IMAGES

My first paintings were figurative and like many artists, the early images reflect psychological  impressions from  earlier years. With time and expertise the imagery matured  from naive self centered representation to more detached expression. Often,I work within a series, some related to specific moments ie. the fall of the Berlin Wall, The World Trade Center, Cosmos or abstract considerations such as "Unconscious Letters" With paintings, I am especially attracted to pure rounded forms such as those seen in the "Dancing Horses", "Zimbabwe Boulder" and "Shadows," My drawings emphasize line over form but I want them to retain an "expressive" quality, particularly as it relates to the human form.
