Figure Drawings

I am attracted to the views of the Nabis, a Post Impressionist movement that included Bonnard and Vuillard. It proposed that the free colors, shapes and lines connected the subject (animate and inanimate) to the artist.It rejected typical academic drawing claiming a simple gestural line could bring humanistic or spiritual quality to art.
